WESTFIELD, Ind. – Opening up its season in the NJCAA Midwest Kickoff Classic in Indiana, Jones dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 11 Heartland on Saturday and a 1-0 decision to Western Iowa Tech on Sunday.

The teams were whistled for a combined 57 fouls and 10 yellow cards.
Luis Valverde's 4th minute goal was the only scoring in Sunday's finale that lifted the Comets to a 1-0 win.
Joshua Goodwin had four saves in his first action since Sept. 7, 2024 after suffering a season-ending injury last year.
The teams were whistled for a combined 57 fouls and 13 yellow cards.
Jones will look to regroup on Saturday, Aug. 30 when they travel to Georgia Military College for a 1 p.m./2 p.m. EST kick.
