ELLISVILLE – In another NJCAA Top 15 matchup at Community Bank Park Saturday afternoon, No. 1 Jones led for a half inning all day but rallied for a split with No. 11 Northeast.
Northeast won the opener, 4-2, before Jones used a two-run bottom of the sixth in the nightcap to rally for a 3-2 win.
It was the Bobcats' first loss at home in 11 games before a bounceback victory.
Jones moved to 30-5, 8-2 MACCC while Northeast moved to 27-3, 8-2 in conference play.

Leah Walker's RBI-triple plated the game's first run in the sixth. Hailey Minchew followed Walker's triple with a two-run homer to make it 3-0 and Adin Shelton doubled to make it 4-0.
Jones made it interesting in the bottom of the seventh and was a swing away from tying it.
Makynlie Jones' nation-leading 20th home run pulled Jones within 4-2. After Sawyer singled, the Bobcats had the tying run at the plate in
Emily Mizelle. But Montgomery was able to get a pop up to end the game.

Jones' only lead of the day came via an error on the Tiger catcher Minchew in the bottom of the sixth, scoring pinch-runner
Reagan Dale for the go-ahead run.

Marlee Dampeer to make it 1-1 in the third.

Laney Little's pinch-hit fielder's choice tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth, scoring pinch-runner
Farrah James who ran for Mizelle after a leadoff single. Little then stole second and forced a Tiger throw to third to try and pick off Dale, but it backfired and allowed the winning run to score.
