MERIDIAN – No. 3 Jones scored 21 runs on 26 hits in a pair of shutout wins Tuesday night at the newly-constructed Tommy McDonald Field.
Jones improved to 32-5 overall, 10-2 in MACCC play and dropped the Lady Eagles to 19-20, 4-8 in the MACCC.
The Bobcats continue a six-game road stretch on Friday (was Saturday) at East Mississippi.
Thirteen different Bobcats had a hit in the sweep, led by a 5-for-7 day for
Emily Mizelle with a pair of doubles.

What was a 2-0 game entering the sixth quickly got out of hand with Jones plating two runs in the sixth and seven in the seventh.
Makynlie Jones and
Lillian Evans each homered and
Jayden Sawyer, Mizelle,
Laney Little and
Brooklynn Montana all doubled.
Breelyn Cain improved to 9-3 with her 7th win in her last 10 starts. She struck out nine against one walk and allowed five hits and no runs.

Anna Grace Whitehead hit a three-run homer in the first and then pitched a complete-game, four-hit shutout in the circle.
Jones added four in the fourth and three in the fifth.
