ELLISVILLE – Hinds gave No. 1 Jones a good fight Wednesday afternoon at The Bank.
But in the end, it was the Bobcats who swept the Eagles 4-1, 12-7 to stay unbeaten at home and extend a 15-year win streak against Hinds.
Jones has won 44 straight over the Eagles dating back to March 2010.
The Bobcats will host No. 11 Northeast, 26-2, on Saturday at 2 p.m. Jones is 12-1 against NJCAA Top 25 teams this season.

It looked as if Jones would run away with it after a three-run first but Hinds would hang around thanks to six free passes and Kyleigh Forsyth's strong outing.
Emily Mizelle hit a two-run shot and
Lillian Evans a solo homer to make it 3-0 in the first.
Forsyth allowed only one run on three hits after that the final five innings to keep the Eagles in striking distance.

Allie Reich's RBI-single up the middle got it to 3-1 in the fourth.
Jayden Saywer was able to work around the bases loaded in the fifth with a pop up to strand three Eagles on base.
Mizelle's sac fly in the fifth plated the game's final run, scoring
Marlee Dampeer after a walk.
Sawyer scattered three hits, one unearned run, 10 strikeouts and six walks in a 118-pitch complete game.
Jones 12, Hinds 7
Breelyn Cain improved to 7-0 in her last nine starts, Mizelle was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and three other Bobcats had multiple hits to cap the doubleheader sweep.

Anna Leigh Ashley gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead in the top of the first but Jones immediately responded with five in the bottom half.
Mizelle's RBI-single tied the game. Cain later drew a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch,
Laney Little hit a two-run double and
Claire Andersen drew a bases-loaded walk.
With Jones leading 7-2 after two, Hinds made it a one-run game in the fifth.
Maddie Bruner hit a two-run homer to make it 7-4 in the third and then Destiny Crosby and Ashley homered to make it 7-6 in the fifth.
Makynlie Jones extended her 22-game hit streak with an RBI-single in the fifth to plate a big insurance run. Mizelle followed with a three-run homer to make it 11-6 Cats.
Ashley's RBI-single in the seventh capped a 3-for-4 game with three RBIs.
Eight Bobcats combined for 13 hits in the nightcap. The top of the order- Andersen, Jones, Sawyer, Mizelle- was 9-for-17 with seven RBIs and seven runs scored.
Mizelle has now homered in eight of her last 10 games to go along with a 17-game hit streak.
Cain improved to 8-3 in the circle but allowed six runs on five hits in 4.2 innings of work.
Anna Grace Whitehead tossed the final 2.1 innings to earn her second career save.
