Shay Hunter scored 13 of her game-high 18 points in the first half against her former team as Jones held off East Central, 60-52, Thursday night at Brackeen Wood Gymnasium for a second straight win.
The victory also snapped a 23-game road losing streak for the Bobcats.
Jones improved to 7-18, 4-9 MACCC and will close out the regular season at home Monday against Hinds. EC dropped to 5-18, 1-12.
The Bobcats trailed 19-15 with under five minutes left in the second quarter but used a 17-0 run to take a 32-22 lead into the half.
What was a 40-28 Jones lead evaporated to a 40-40 tie after three quarters after four straight three-pointers for the Warriors.
Jones led 54-52 after the teams went back-and-forth the first seven minutes of the fourth quarter.
But EC would not score the final 2:31 and the Bobcats scored the game's final six to hang on for a road win.
Behind Hunter's 18 points and 11 rebounds,
Larissa Hubbard had 17 points and 10 boards and
Zharia Leflore 13 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Anna-Patrice Patterson had a season-high six blocks.
Jones shot 35 percent for the game.
