NEW ALBANY – The 13th-ranked Jones College men's tennis team won a pair of matches here Tuesday at BNA Park.
Jones beat Northeast, 9-0 and then turned around and defeated NAIA opponent Rust College, 8-1.
The Bobcats are now 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the MACCC. Jones will visit East Central for a 2 p.m. Friday match.

Matias Ruiz (Argentina) and
Tom Garrett (Australia) beat Tomas Aramburu and Kevin Kotze in No. 1 doubles, 8-4 and
Diego Castellanos (Bolivia) and
Alex Holder (Madison Central) shut out Brayden Hanna and Turner Foster in No. 2 doubles, 8-0.
Ridge Jones (Northeast Jones) and
Reese Touchet (Madison Central) defeated Gibson Foster and John Parker in No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
Ruiz downed Aramburu in No. 1 singles, 6-2, 7-5. Castellanos rallied by Kotze in No. 2 singles, 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7). Jones defeated Parker in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-2 and Holder blanked Foster, 6-0, 6-0 in No. 4 singles.
Luke Westmoreland (Grenada) beat Carter Ladner in No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-4 and
Brooks Newell (Oak Grove) downed Hanna in No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-3.

Ruiz beat Zachary Auguste in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-1 and Castellanos defeated Ali-Kparah Moubarak Clemenceau in No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-3. Holder downed Gabe Campbell in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0 and Jones battled to a 7-5, 6-4 win over Rido Adio Jerry Noudogbessi in No. 4 singles. Westmoreland lost to Joshua Johnson in No. 5 singles, 3-6, 6-1, 0-1 (9) and Ryan Routh (Resurrection Catholic) defeated Jahbarri Joseph in No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-2.
Ruiz and Castellanos defeated Clemenceaus and Auguste in No. 1 doubles, 8-1 and Garrett and Holder defeated Campbell and Noudogbess in No. 2 doubles, 8-4. Jones and Touchet whipped Quincy Franks and Joseph in No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
