GULF SHORES, Ala. –
Lillian Evans and
Makynlie Jones combined for seven hits and 12 RBIs to help No. 4 Jones close out a four-game weekend sweep at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex.
Jones won both games via run-rule, 13-5 over Lamar State-Port Arthur and 18-0 over Moberly Area in the first-ever meeting between the programs.
The Bobcats improved to 13-3.
Jones will compete in the NFCA Leadoff Classic Feb. 21-22 in Columbus, Ga.

Trailing 3-0 in the second after the first five Seahawks reached and three scored, Jones scored the next eight runs to pick up a run-rule victory.
Emily Mizelle tied the game in the third on an RBI-single and would come around to score on a wild pitch to make it 4-3.
Laney Little, Mizelle and
Meredith Fontenot all followed with RBI hits to make it 8-3 after four.
Karlie Ingle's two-run double cut the deficit to 8-5 for Lamar State in the fifth.
Jones and Mizelle each hit two-run singles in the bottom of the fifth and
Brooklynn Montana drew a seven-pitch walk to walk it off.
Nine Bobcats combined for 14 hits. Mizelle and Fontenot were 3-for-4 each with six RBIs.
Marlee Dampeer was 2-for-2 and
Reagan Dale added a single.
Breelyn Cain scattered seven hits, five runs, six strikeouts and three walks to move to 2-3 in the circle.
Jones 18, Moberly Area 0 (5 inn.)
In the first-ever meeting between the teams, the Greyhounds were no match for Jones as the Bobcats scored a season-high 18 runs.
Lillian Evans hit a three-run homer to straight-away center as part of a five-run first. She'd homer again in the fourth.
Evans and
Brooklynn Montana went back-to-back in the fourth and Mak. Jones hit a three-run shot to extend the lead to 17-0. Evans drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 18-0.
A two-out single for Mackenzie Keller in the bottom of the fourth broke up
Jayden Sawyer's no-hit bid.
Sawyer allowed the one hit and struck out nine in her first action of the year in the circle.
Farrah James and
Addy Shorter added hits.
