Jones nets season-high seven goals for seventh win of the season

ELLISVILLE – Jones scored a season-high seven goals Friday night, four of them from Sherline King, in picking up its seventh win of the season.

Jones moved to 7-1-2 overall, 4-0-1 in the MACCC and just a half game behind NJCAA No. 1 Northwest. East Central dropped to 2-7-1, 0-5.

The Bobcats struck twice in the opening 4:09, with Magdalena Polrolniczak scoring in the 2nd minute and Jameyah Hubbard in the 5th.

A Warrior free kick curled into the upper shelf to cut the lead to 2-1 in the 19th minute.

King's first of four goals extended the lead back to 3-1 in the 25th minute but a Raiyleigh Perry goal again cut the Bobcat lead to one.

Just before the halftime horn, King made it 4-2 Jones and the Warriors would get no closer.

Polrolniczak scored a brace in the 74th minute and King went back-to-back in 40 seconds to push the final tally to 7-2 Jones.

The Bobcats outshot the Warriors 31-2.
