ELLISVILLE – The 95th edition of the "Catfight" will take place here this week at Bobcat Stadium/Sim Cooley Field.
 
Jones College hosts Pearl River at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the final contest of the season. The game will air on 
jcbobcats.com/watch with Mark Easley and Chuck Robertson on the call.
 
It marks the 95th time the longtime rivals will meet on the gridiron. Jones leads the series 50-42-2 and has won eight straight in the series.
 
Jones, 4-4 overall and 1-4 in the MACCC South Division, is currently on a two-game losing streak after losing to East Central (21-7) and Southwest (26-23).
 
In last week's loss, the Bears scored on a fourth down and 1 play with just 22 seconds left in the game. The Bobcats had a chance to tie the game and force overtime, but missed on a 50-yard field goal attempt as time expired.
 
Quarterback 
Jevarion Glover (Amanda Elzy) completed 19-of-26 passes for 130 yards and running back 
Ky'Yon Harris (Union) carried 11 times for 59 yards. Wide receiver 
Zay Roberts (Pompano Beach, Fla.) had two catches for 32 yards and 
JQ Gray (Oak Grove) had nine receptions for 24 yards.
 
Jeremiah Tatum (Columbia), 
Dion Barber (Oak Grove) and 
Cortland Battee (Florence) each had six tackles. Tatum and 
Isaiah Lindsey (West Jones) each had 2.5 tackles for loss and 
Arterus Moffett (Saraland, Ala.) and 
Diego Spears (Prairieville, La.) each two TFLs. Tatum, Spears and 
Dalyn Pierce (Bay Springs) each had a sack. 
Gavin Drones (Magee) had a pass interception and 
Lathan Lewis (Pass Christian) had a fumble recovery.
 
Pearl River is 1-7 overall and 0-5 in the division. The Wildcats lost to No. 4 Northwest (42-17) to open the season and then beat Itawamba (48-42). Since then, they have lost six straight to Southwest (35-20), East Central (37-27), No. 8 Mississippi Gulf Coast (42-28), No. 6 Copiah-Lincoln (39-7), No. 15 East Mississippi (49-27) and No. 12 Hinds (56-13).
 
The Wildcats are led by running back Keenan Franks, who has rushed for 686 yards and wide receiver Howard Kinchen, who has 32 receptions for 364 yards. Franks is a 5-foot-8, 190-pound sophomore running back from Greene County and Kinchen is a 6-foot-3, 189-redshirt sophomore from Patterson, La.
 
Daniel Pickens, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound redshirt freshman back from Resurrection, leads the Wildcat defense with 59 tackles and Jalen Anderson, a 6-foot-3, 241-pound sophomore lineman from Slidell, La., has six sacks.
