POPLARVILLE – The inaugural "CatFight" on the volleyball court between Jones and Pearl River did not disappoint Monday night in front of a packed crowd at Shivers Gym.

Jones rallied from a 2-1 deficit with a wild fourth set, 31-29, and held off the Wildcats 15-11 in the deciding fifth.

The Bobcats improved to 12-3, 2-1 in MACCC play while PRCC dropped to 6-16, 1-2 in conference play.

Alanah Fitch, Harmony Jackson and Ainslee Copeland all finished with double digit kills.

Hanna James had a team-high five blocks, Emily Boudreaux 20 digs and Mamie Fromdahl was credited with 32 assists.

Jones returns home Tuesday to host Bishop State in a non-conference matchup.
