RIDGELAND – Jones won its fourth straight match Friday afternoon with a 4-0 blanking at Holmes.
The Bobcats extended their win streak over the Bulldogs to nine matches and improved to 4-2 overall, 2-0 in the MACCC. Holmes fell to 1-2-1, 0-2.
Matt Reed scored his fifth goal in five matches four minutes in and Jones would never look back.
Callum Black gave the Bobcats a 2-0 lead at the break with a 29th minute goal off a Reed assist.
Luke Dickson and
Cameron Chamberlain added goals in the 71st and 82nd minutes to make the final 4-0.
Jones out-shot Holmes 22-2, including 11-1 on net. Jones also drew nine corners to the Bulldogs' one.
Cohen Bonner stopped one shot in 45 shutout minutes in the first half and
Brax Rials didn't face a shot the second half.
The Bobcats host East Central Tuesday and Hinds on Friday.
