WESSON – No. 11 Jones College rolled to a 9-0 decision over No. 22 Copiah-Lincoln here Thursday afternoon.
The Bobcats are now 14-0 overall, 8-0 in the MACCC. The Wolves drop to 8-4 overall and 4-3 in the league.
Jones will meet No. 8 Weatherford College (Texas) on Saturday at Hinds. The Bobcats will host Blue Mountain Christian University at noon Wednesday.
Co-Lin will play Weatherford Sunday in Raymond.
Matias Ruiz (Argentina) and
Charlie Brady (Australia) edged Arne Sohmer and Valentino Millimaci in No. 1 doubles, 8-6.
Duvan Santiago Torres (Colombia) and
Alex Holder (Madison Central) shut out Logan Case and Francisco Miquel in No. 2 doubles, 8-0.
Dawson Do (Northwest Rankin) and
Hudson Hans (Moss Point) defeated Simon Cooper and Robert Adcock in No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
Ruiz knocked off Sohmer in No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-3 and Brady beat Millimaci in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Torres whipped Miquel in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0 and Do downed Adcock in No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-4. Holder beat Cooper in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-3 and Hans hammered Andrew Lambert in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
