No. 6 Jones defeated Hinds 8-2 and 8-1 Wednesday afternoon at Community Bank Park/Gwen Magee Field to run its impressive win streak to 42 games over the Eagles.

Jones 8, Hinds 2
The Eagles struck for two runs in the first on a pair of hits and a Bobcat error before six straight hitless innings from
Reanna Nieman and eight unanswered runs helped Jones to victory.
A four-run third, that started with five straight singles, turned a two-run deficit into a two-run lead, 4-2.
Brooklynn Montana,
Emily Mizelle,
Kaleigh Steverson and
Meredith Fontenot all registered RBIs in the inning.
Jayden Sawyer's solo shot to lead off the fifth put a little more room between the teams and Montana's two-out, bases-clearing double off the wall made it 8-2 Jones.
Nieman (9-2) was fantastic the final six frames, finishing with just the two hits allowed, an earned run and eight strikeouts against one walk.
Sawyer was 3-for-3 in the cleanup spot and four other Bobcats had multiple hits.
Jones 8, Hinds 1
Sara Long's first inning RBI-single gave Hinds a 1-0 lead before eight unanswered again for the Bobcats helped close out a doubleheader sweep of the Eagles.
Emma Moore's sac fly tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the third.
Fontenot drew a leadoff walk in the fourth, advanced to second on a passed ball and scored off
Gracey Harbour's infield single to put Jones ahead, 2-1, in the fourth. Moore's two-run single stretched the lead to 4-1 three batters later.
Steverson hit a solo shot to left to lead off the fifth and
Elise Jackson added a two-run single to make it 7-1.
Makynlie Jones' fielder's choice and ensuing error scored Sawyer to cap the scoring in the sixth at 8-1.
Sawyer (7-3) scattered four hits, no earned runs, six strikeouts and three walks in a complete-game win.
Jackson was 3-for-4 in the No. 9 spot.
