ELLISVILLE – Five Bobcat home runs in the finale capped a two-game sweep for No. 17 Jones College over Snead State Friday afternoon at Community Bank Park/Gwen Magee Field.
Jones improved to 4-2 and has won four straight. Snead State fell to 3-7.

Reanna Nieman tossed a five-hitter and allowed just one earned run and all nine Bobcats in the lineup had a hit for a run-rule win.
Meredith Fontenot's leadoff home run in the second gave Jones the lead for good.
Emma Moore added a bases-loaded walk and
Jayden Sawyer reached on an error to make it 3-0 Bobcats after two frames.
Jones plated three more in the third on an error and two-run single from
Brooklynn Montana who was 4-for-4 with four RBIs.
The Parsons' two runs came off RBI-singles in the third and fifth.
Montana's two-run single in the bottom of the sixth scored
Anna Leigh Ashley and
Madelyn Chennault for the walk-off.
Fontentot and
Arin Dale had three hits each as Jones pounded out 16 hits.
Jones 10, Snead State 3
Jayden Sawyer homered three times and her,
Kaleigh Steverson and Fontenot went back-to-back-to-back in the sixth to close out a sweep.
Sawyer's two-run shot in the first opened the scoring. She'd homer again in the third and a wild pitch made it 4-0 Jones after three.
Ella Grace Hood's pinch-hit, three-run homer in the sixth pulled Snead State within 5-3.
After two singles and two pop outs in the bottom of the sixth, the home run party started.
Sawyer hit hers on a 3-1 count, Steverson on a 1-0 count and Fontenot on the first pitch after a pitching change to make it 10-3 Bobcats.
Sawyer was also the winning pitcher, going the distance with 10 strikeouts and allowing three runs on three hits.
Makayla Lindsey was one of four Bobcats with multiple hits.
