ELLISVILLE – After playing its first six matches of the regular season on the road, No. 4 Jones was happy to be home Tuesday night and were dominant in a 4-0 win over No. 12 Copiah-Lincoln.
The Bobcats improved to 7-0, 4-0 in the MACCC while Co-Lin dropped to 5-3-1, 2-1-1 in league play.
It marked Jones' fifth straight clean sheet and sixth in seven matches.
Celine Ottah scored in the 40th and 44th minutes to give Jones a 2-0 advantage at the break.
She'd complete her hat-trick in the 85th minute off a
Haley James feed.
Gemma Whitchurch netted her ninth goal of the season in the 87th minute to close out the win.
Jones out-shot Co-Lin 23-1, including 13-1 on goal. The Bobcats also generated 13 corner kicks.
The Bobcats continue a four-match homestand Friday night, welcoming Itawamba to Ellisville.
