Box Score 2 NEW ALBANY – The 15th-rated Jones College Bobcats blanked Northeast 9-0 here Tuesday.
Jones then dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to NAIA member Blue Mountain Christian University.
The Bobcats, 13-1 overall and 7-0 in the MACCC, will entertain Jacksonville College (Texas) at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and will host Northwest at 2 p.m. Friday in its final match before spring break.
BMCU goes to Mississippi College on March 23.

Jackson Peoples (Northwest Rankin) and
Dawson Do (Northwest Rankin) whipped Tristan Webber and Joshua McBrayer in No. 2 doubles, 8-1.
Hudson Hans (Moss Point) and
Prescott Schaumberg (Indianola Academy) shut out Zackary Marter and Brooks Brand in No. 3 doubles, 8-0.
Nader defeated Jackson in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and
Tanner Bevard (Sacred Heart) whipped McBrayer in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Peoples beat Webber in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0 and Do downed Marter in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Hans defeated Talley in No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-0 and Schaumberg blanked Brand in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
The Tigers, 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the conference, host Southwest Friday.

Charlie Brady (Australia) beat Justin Van Amerongen and Rick Sakamoto in No. 1 doubles, 6-2, and Bevard and Peoples defeated Danko Yordanov and Axel Sperling in No. 2 doubles, 6-3. Do and Schaumberg lost a close, 6-7 decision to David Ajievi and Filip Stevanovic in No. 3 doubles.
Nader rallied past Van Amerongen in No. 1 singles, 4-6, 6-3, 10-0 and Brady came back to defeat Marco Inga in No. 2 singles, 1-6, 7-5, 10-7. Bevard lost to Yordanov in No. 3 singles, 6-7, 3-6 and Peoples fell to Sperling in No. 4 singles, 3-6, 5-7. Dawson lost to Sakamoto in No. 5 singles, 1-6, 2-6 and Hans dropped a 1-6, 2-6 decision to Victor Lopez in No. 6 singles.
