CLARKSDALE – Fifth-ranked Jones combined for 39 runs on 38 hits and didn't allow a run in a twinbill sweep over Coahoma at the Eddie C. Smith Sportsplex Thursday afternoon.
The Bobcats improved to 23-6, 8-2 in MACCC play. Coahoma fell to 5-17 and remained winless in the conference.
Jones opens up a six-game homestand March 29 against Gulf Coast.

A 15-run third inning, highlighted by a
Kathryn Smith grand slam and
Lauren Lindsey home run set the tone.
Jones scored five in the first as six of the nine starters all picked up hits.
Meg Vinson (2-0) twirled a one-hitter with three strikeouts.
Carly Lewis and Smith had five RBIs apiece and Lindsey had four.
Elise Jackson and
Gabby Hoffman added three hits each.
Jones 19, Coahoma 0 (5 inn.)
Jones scored four in the first and 10 in the second to lead 14-0 and Lindsey capped the scoring in the fifth with her 47th career long ball.
The Bobcats had four doubles, two triples and two home runs in the win.
Lindsey was 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs to break another career record. She now owns all-time marks for hits (185), home runs (47), doubles (42) and RBIs (165).
Meg Gatlin was 4-for-5.
Tia'Rain Saunders doubled and tripled.
Hanna Zeitz (8-3) scattered eight hits, four strikeouts and no walks.
