ELLISVILLE – No. 8 Jones scored half a hundred in the first half and rolled to a 90-50 victory over Mississippi Delta in the NJCAA Region 23 Quarterfinals Wednesday night at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
Jones won its 17th straight game to improve to 23-3 and has now won 21 consecutive region tournament games. They're chasing an unprecedented seventh straight region crown in Clinton
MDCC's season came to a close at 16-11.

Meloney Thames combined for 36 of the Bobcats' 50 first-half points.
Jones outscored the Trojans 23-6 in the third quarter.
Buford finished with 24-6-6, White had 18 and 12 and Thames 13 points.
Tasionna McDowell and
Arianna Patton had eight apiece.
Nakyah Jones had four points and 10 rebounds.
Ashanti Moore and
Carly Keats chipped in seven apiece.
Jones will face Gulf Coast on Saturday at noon in the region semifinals. The championship game is set for 3 p.m. Sunday against the winner of Pearl River/Meridian.
