TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –
Holly Craft struck out a career-high 13 in a three-hit shutout in the opener and
Aaliyah Dixon hit a two-run home run in the eighth in the nightcap to help No. 5 Jones sweep a pair of games at Shelton State Wednesday.
Jones extended its winning streak out to six games to improve to 8-2. Shelton State fell to 2-7.
It was the first meeting between the two programs since 2010.
After a three-week road swing, the Bobcats finally return home Tuesday to host Marion Military in a 3 p.m. doubleheader.

Carly Lewis and
Lauren Lindsey had all three Bobcat RBIs in the game one shutout win.
In Game 2,
Kathryn Smith's solo home run in the sixth tied the game at 2-2 and Jones would score four in the eighth to win.
With the international tiebreaker in place, a Smith single made it 3-2 Jones and then Dixon would follow with a two-run opposite field home run and Saunders an RBI-groundout.
Nia Luckett went 7.2 innings for the win, scattering eight hits, four runs and eight strikeouts.
Hanna Zeitz came on and got a one-pitch save.
