GULF SHORES, Ala. – Jones College pounded out 39 hits and scored 35 runs over two days at the Coastal Alabama Sun Chief Classic to finish a perfect 4-0 against some of the best competition in NJCAA Division I softball.
The Bobcats improved to 6-2 and return to action next Tuesday at Shelton State.
Nia Luckett was 8-for-12 in the leadoff spot with nine runs scored, a home run, five RBIs and three stolen bases to pace the offense.
Jones hit five home runs over the four games from
Lauren Lindsey,
Aaliyah Dixon, Luckett,
Kathryn Smith and
Carly Lewis.

Holly Craft had a win and a save in 9.1 innings pitched, allowing five hits and one earned run with seven strikeouts.
Hanna Zeitz was 2-0 with nine strikeouts over 12 innings.
