ELLISVILLE – Coahoma shot 56 percent and led for most of the night in snapping a nine-game losing streak to Jones with a 96-85 win Monday.
Jones dropped its second straight to fall to 13-8, 6-5 in the conference, while Coahoma improved to 11-10, 4-7 in the MACCC.
The Tigers led 48-42 at the half.
Coahoma's lead grew to as many as 11 late second half before Jones cut it down to three.
But the hot shooting continued for the Tigers as they hit 10 three-pointers, five from Ben Galmore and four from Kei Johnson.
Coahoma also out-rebounded Jones 38-24.
Four Bobcats finished in double figures, ledy by
Caleb McGill with 18 points and eight assists.
Zandon Haralson had 16 off the bench,
Jay Barnes 14 points and seven assists and
Treylan Smith 13 points.
Jones travels to Decatur Thursday for a 6 p.m. tip at East Central.
