ELLISVILLE – Twelfth-rated Jones College rolled to a 9-0 decision over East Central here Friday afternoon at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
The Bobcats (3-0) will travel to Holmes for a 2 p.m. match on Feb. 14.
In No. 1 doubles,
Guadalupe Tocci (Argentina) and
Daniela Tovar (Venezuela) downed Muad Tsaura and Camila Vanegas, 8-5.
Maggie Savell (Park Place Christian Academy) and
Allie Johnson (Hernando) whipped Maggie Bounds and Ava Espey, 8-1.
Michaela Anderson (Tupelo) and
Reagan Salter (Lewisburg) blanked Ivey Bruntlett and Anna Elmore, 8-0.
Tocci defeated Tsaura, 6-2, 6-1, in No. 1 singles and Tovar downed Vanegas in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Savell beat Bounds in No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-3 and Annalynn Housley blanked Espey in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Salter defeated Bruntlett in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-1 and
Sophie Endt (Vancleave) beat Elmore in No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-1.
ECCC (2-1) hosts Copiah-Lincoln on Monday.
