MOORHEAD – After falling behind 5-0 and missing its first five shots, Jones settled in and never trailed again in a 90-69 rout at Mississippi Delta Monday night.
Jones won its third straight to improve to 5-1, while MDCC fell to 3-2.
The Bobcats led 44-33 at the half.
Ky Pernell led three players in double figures with 24 points and seven assists,
Dimp Pernell added 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists,
Trey Smith 11 points and 15 boards and
Kylan Howze just missed a triple-double with nine points, 10 rebounds and eight first-half blocks.
Jones shot 52 percent from the floor and hit 12-of-24 from beyond the arc. MDCC was held to 35 percent from the floor.
Ten different Bobcats scored.
Latrell Vance led four Trojans in double figures with 17 points.
Jones hosts Marion Military on Thursday, Nov. 16 for a 6 o'clock tip.
