ELLISVILLE – Fifth-ranked Jones College remained unbeaten in MACCC play with a 6-1 decision over Meridian here Tuesday evening at Bobcat Soccer Field.
Broc Bookout (Oak Grove) scored in the eighth minute off an assist by
Taylor Richardson (United Kingdom) to open the scoring. Richardson's goal in the 34th minute via an assist by
Miguel Magagnin (Northwest Rankin) made it 2-0 at intermission.

Luke Dickson (Oak Grove) in the 47th minute to make it 3-0. MCC's only goal came when Trey Parnell scored in the 51st minute with Matty Longdon getting the assist.
Richardson got his second goal in the 58th minute with
Garrett Stephens (Oak Grove) recording the assist.
Banks McNair (Jackson Academy) was assisted by Magagnin in the 69th minute to make it 5-1.
Noah Fayard (George County) scored in the 89th minute with the assist going to Dickson.
Liam McGrath (England) played the entire 90 minutes in goal and had two saves.
The Bobcats had 22 shots – 10 on goal – and the Eagles had nine shots – three on goal. Jones had six corner kicks and Meridian had four. The Bobcats were whistled for 11 fouls and MCC had seven.
Jones, 9-1-2 overall and 5-0-1 in the MCC, will host Pearl River at 7 p.m. Friday.
Meridian is now 3-8 and 2-4.
