Sakyia White paced five Bobcats in double figures with her 11th double-double of the year and No. 12 Jones built a 17-point first quarter lead to roll past Meridian, 88-66, Thursday night.
Jones improved to 9-3, 1-0 in the MACCC with its 15th straight win over the Lady Eagles who fell to 11-2, 0-1.
The Bobcats led 31-14 after one quarter and 52-37 at the half.
Behind White's 26 points,
En'Dya Buford had 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists,
Meloney Thames added 15 and
Arianna Patton and
Nakyah Jones chipped in 12 and 11 off the bench.
Shania Givens scored 15 off the bench to lead the Lady Eagles, followed by 13 and 12 from Shakira Wilson and Elissa Murry.
Jones shot 43 percent from the floor against 41 percent for Meridian.
The Bobcats host Gulf Coast Monday night for their first home game in over a month.
