BATON ROUGE, La. –
Dalton Tanner and
Andrew Nix allowed just four runs in 15 innings on the hill and
Billy Garrity homered three times in game two to help No. 20 Jones sweep Wednesday's twinbill at Baton Rouge.
Jones won three of four in the series that spanned over five days to improve to 13-3 heading into MACCC play. BRCC fell to 14-16.
The Bobcats open conference play on Friday at 1 p.m. against Itawamba, a stretch of six of eight games on the road.

Baton Rouge rallied to tie the game at 1-1 and force extras in the bottom of the seventh before a
Kade Keeton two-run single lifted JC to an extra-inning win.
Scoreless through three,
DeeJay Booth's RBI-double gave Jones a 1-0 lead.
Tanner was cruising on the mound through six, allowing one hit in the first and fourth.
BRCC got a leadoff double from Blaise Foote in the bottom of the seventh and scored him two batters latter on a squeeze bunt.
Murray Hutchinson led off the eighth with a double and
Josh Cary singled, setting up Keeton's two-run single for the winning runs.
Tanner scattered four hits, six strikeouts and no walks in eight complete.
Jones 11, Baton Rouge 3
Garrity homered in the first, third and seventh, two from the left side and one from the right, to lead a 14-hit game two attack.
Tied 3-3 after two innings, Garrity's leadoff homer helped spark a six-run third.
Jakob Wax,
Tyler Ducksworth, Cary and Garrity followed with RBI-singles to make it 9-3 Bobcats.
Andrew Nix held the Bears scoreless over the next four frames en route to his first win of the season in a complete game.
Garrity closed out a three-homer, 4-for-4 game with a two-run shot to left in the seventh.
Ducksworth was 3-for-4 and Cary added three hits.
Nix scattered six hits, three runs and four strikeouts.
