Jones 1, Itawamba 0
There was no shortage of drama and controversy in the first game of the day, with a series of calls going in favor of Jones. A pair of plays where Indian runners left early and an interference call held Itawamba off the scoreboard.
Luckett and ICC's Madison Jenkins dueled head-to-head for six innings, combining for nine strikeouts, two walks and no runs allowed.
Scoreless into the seventh, the Indians made a pitching change to start the inning. That would prove costly for the visitors.
Taylor Duncan drew a hit-by-pitch to start the bottom half, followed by a walk, wild pitch and intentional walk to load the bases with no outs.
Sarah Ballard then drew a walk-off walk, after fouling off numerous pitches, to give Jones a 1-0 win.
