MCCOMB – The 16th-ranked Jones College Bobcats posted a 9-0 victory over Southwest here Tuesday afternoon at the FitLife SportsPlex.
The Bobcats improve to 8-0 on the season and are set to visit Mississippi Gulf Coast on Friday.
Southwest, 1-4, hosts Meridian on Friday.
The Bobcats had little trouble in taking care of the Bears.

Nacho Vanecek (Argentina) shut out Canden Grantham and Tyler Howell 8-0 in No. 1 doubles.
Wallace Brewer (Germantown) and
John Jabour (Warren Central) blanked Parker Wilks and Caleb Boutwell in No. 2 doubles, 8-0.
Trey Hilton (Pearl) and
Prescott Schaumberg (Indianola Academy) defeated JP Johnson and Ryan Simmons in No. 3 doubles, 8-5.
Nader whipped Howell in No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0 and
Tanner Bevard (Sacred Heart) beat Boutwell in No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-2.
Jackson Peoples (Northwest Rankin) defeated Grantham in No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-0 and Hilton downed Simmons in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-1. Schaumberg beat Johnson in No. 5 singles, 7-6 (1), 6-3 in No. 5 singles and Jabour downed Wilks in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-1. In an extra match,
