ELLISVILLE – Jones has beaten all 13 opponents through 13 matches, a first in the program's 24-year history.
The Bobcats defeated Hinds, 3-1, Tuesday night to improve to 13-0 and will gear up for the NJCAA Region 23/Gulf District Tournament Nov. 4 and 6 in Ellisville.
Samuel Hadley broke the scoreless match in the 27th minute, taking an errant throw from the keeper and striking it from distance.
Yussef Hakmaoui extended the lead to 2-0 in the 42nd minute. The league's leading goal-scorer was left wide open and played a left-footed draw into the top left corner.
Hinds got on the board in the 57th minute on Dylan Harrigill's goal.
Hakmaoui gave the Bobcats some breathing room with 7:41 to play with his 14th goal of the season, off an
Alan Rangel touch, to make the final 3-1.
Jones owned an 18-11 shot advantage. Both teams were whistled for 11 fouls.
Griffin Bailey got his first start in goal for Jones and went the full 90 minutes with one save. Tyler Ivory had 10 saves for the Eagles.
