Miguel Magagnin's goal off a free kick from just outside the box lifted No. 1 Jones over rival Gulf Coast, 2-1, Friday night.
Jones stayed perfect at 10-0, 7-0 in the MACCC while MGCCC fell to 5-5-2 and 3-2-2 in conference play.
The game-winner came exactly 1:15 after the Bulldogs tied the match at 1-1 on a Parker Stephens goal.
A foul setup the free kick in the 87th minute and Magagnin sailed the right-footed strike over a wall of Bulldogs and just inside the crossbar.
Yussef Hakmaoui gave Jones a 1-0 lead right before halftime and it would hold up the ensuing 43 minutes until MGCCC found the equalizer.
The rivalry match saw a combined 26 fouls, nine yellow cards and two red cards.
Jones goes to Co-Lin Tuesday to close out its road schedule. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m.
