Terrell's pair of goals, Turner's second help No. 2 Jones blank Co-Lin

ELLISVILLE – Kendyl Terrell scored a pair of goals and Carson Turner added her second as a Bobcat as No. 2 Jones blanked Copiah-Lincoln, 3-0, on Friday night to post its fifth straight clean sheet.

Jones improved to 5-1, 4-0 in the south, while Co-Lin fell to 1-6, 1-4 in the division. The Bobcats have now won 21 straight against Co-Lin and are 36-3 all-time vs. the Lady Wolves.

Terrell broke a scoreless match in the 34th minute, heading in a cross from Gracie Gustafson. She added a second goal in the 56th minute on a Zylah Mulligan corner kick.

Turner netted her second collegiate goal in the 85th minute, one-touching a great pass into the box from Bekah Baugh

Co-Lin managed just one shot from Alana Dear late in the second half, saved by Danae Fowler who went the full 90 minutes and got the win.

The final shot tally was 35-1 in favor of Jones and the Bobcats had 14 corner kicks against one for the Lady Wolves.

Jones was scheduled to play No. 6 Holmes on Sept. 28, but the Bulldogs canceled the contest. The Bobcats will face No. 4 Southwestern Illinois at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3 at Christian Brothers University in Memphis.
