POPLARVILLE – Scoreless at the break in the conference opener for both sides, three second half goals from the visiting Bobcats in a match they dominated on the stat sheet lifted No. 4 Jones to a 3-0 shutout win.
Jones improved to 2-1 and has now won six of the last eight meetings. PRCC fell to 1-3.
Kendyl Terrell broke the draw in the 58th minute when she chipped the keeper thanks to an assist from
Jordan Smith.
JC got a little breathing room in the 84th minute when
Acacia Rodriguez netted her first of the season and
Bekah Baugh put it away with an 89th minute goal.
The Bobcats out-shot the Wildcats 17-3.
Makenna Yarrow had two stops in her second straight shutout. Anita Gud had 11 saves.
