Caragan Childs for the game-winner in the 81st minute and No. 9 Jones snuck past Southwest Mississippi 1-0 Friday afternoon.
Jones extended its winning streak to seven matches in improving to 9-1 overall, 7-1 in the MACCC. Southwest fell to 3-8, 2-6 in the league.
The Bobcats outshot the Bears 16-7 and had a 5-0 edge in corner kicks.
Kendyl Terrell had five of Jones' seven shots on goal.
But it wasn't until Childs' goal with just over nine minutes left that Jones could exhale and enjoy a hard-fought road win.
Danae Fowler stopped all three shots she faced. Camila Cevallos had six saves and just the one goal allowed.
Jones will host Meridian on Tuesday at 5 p.m. to close out the regular season home schedule.
