ELLISVILLE – After a poor showing at Meridian 18 days ago in a 3-0 loss, No. 10 Jones took that frustration out on the Eagles Tuesday night to the tone of nine goals.
Leading 3-1 at the half, the Bobcats scored six second half goals to hammer Meridian, 9-1, and clinch a playoff berth.
Chris Dempsey completed his hat-trick in the 51st minute and 
Andrew Craig, 
Heath Hogan and 
Alejandro Pocasangre all netted their first goals of the year in the victory.
Dempsey got the scoring started in the 8th minute, connecting on a penalty kick after a hard foul in the box.
Meridian's lone goal came from Ben Paget in the first half.
Reigning MACCC Goalkeeper of the Week 
Peyton Wilbanks allowed a goal and stopped four shots in 67:39 between the posts. 
Garrett Wise closed out the final 22:21.
The Bobcats finished with 10 assists on the night, two apiece from 
Elean Fajardo and 
Ethan Boles.
Jones will close out the regular season on Friday with a 4:30 kick at Co-Lin.
