No. 13 Jones stays unbeaten at home on Dempsey's game-winner

ELLISVILLE Chris Dempsey made his return to the pitch – after a two-week hiatus – count in the 75th minute when he took a cross off the foot of Itai Allen and scored it for the game-winner to defeat Co-Lin, 2-1.

Jones stayed unbeaten at home (4-0) and improved to 5-2 overall on the season. Co-Lin fell to 3-3.

The Bobcats dominated in possession all night and owned a 27-8 edge in shots and 13-2 advantage in corners.

John Mark Rose gave the Bobcats the early lead, scoring his second of the year in the 4th minute.

The lead would hold up until the 67th minute when Eli Fratesi took his own rebound and scored it to tie the match at 1-1 for Co-Lin.

Less than eight minutes later, Allen dribbled the ball in front of the Bobcat bench and sent a perfect cross to the foot of Dempsey, who deflected it in for the game-winner.

Jones will get an anticipated rematch against rival Pearl River on Thursday night in Ellisville.
