MCCOMB – Jones College won its fourth match in a row with a 9-0 decision over Southwest here Friday afternoon at Fernwood Country Club.
The Bobcats are now 11-1 overall,10-1 in the MACCC. Jones will host Meridian at 2 p.m. on Monday and East Central at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
Daniel Panzica (Brookhaven) defeated Canden Grantham in No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
Trey Hilton (Pearl) whipped Caleb Boutwell in No. 2 singles,6-0, 6-1.
Greyson Parman (Warren Central) beat Dontavius McCoy in No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
Braxton Wallis (Brookhaven) downed Parker Wilks in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-2.
John Jabour (Warren Central) defeated Jacob Brown in No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
Jack Owens (Brandon) beat Jalen Bean in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Panzica and Wallis beat Grantham and Boutwell in No. 1 doubles, 8-1. Hilton and Jabour blanked Brown and Jacob Douglas in No. 2 doubles, 8-0. Parman and Owens defeated McCoy and Willis in No. 3 doubles, 8-3.
Southwest,1-8,hosts Co-Lin on March 16.
