Bobcats post two victories over Holmes

GOODMAN – Jones College blanked Holmes twice in men's tennis here Tuesday afternoon.
 
Jones posted a pair of 9-0 victories over the Bulldogs.
 
The Bobcats, 7-0, will head to Mississippi Gulf Coast for a 2 p.m. match on Feb. 16.
 
Holmes, 0-3, hosts East Central on Feb. 10.

The Bobcats did not lose a game in doubles, posting three 8-0 victories.
 
Daniel Panzica (Brookhaven) and Nacho Vanecek (Argentina) beat J.D. Camillo and Lathan Burchfield in No. 1 doubles, Braxton Wallis (Brookhaven) and John Jabour (Warren Central) defeated Jarrett Shaw and Chase Naylor in No. 2 doubles and Ryan Myers (Madison Central) and Jack Owens (Brandon) downed Cooper Reed and Sanjay Patel in No. 3 doubles.
 
Jones won No.'s 1 through No.'s 5 singles by 6-0, 6-0 scores.
 
Gaspar Meda (Argentina) downed Camillo in No. 1 singles, Trey Hilton (Pearl) beat Shaw in No. 2 singles, Greyson Parman (Warren Central) defeated Burchfield in No. 3 singles, Myers downed Naylor in No. 4 singles and Wallis whipped Reed in No. 5 singles. Jabour defeated Patel in No. 6 singles, 6-2,6-1. In an extra match, Owens beat Tyler Mosley, 6-1, 6-2.

Hilton defeated Camillo in No. 1 singles, 6-1,6-2. Panzica downed Shaw in No. 2 singles, 6-1,6-1. Myers beat Burchfield in No. 3 singles,6-2,6-2. Parman blanked Naylor in No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Jabour shut out Reed in No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Wallis whipped Patel in No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-1. In an extra match, Owens defeated Mosley, 6-0, 6-1.
