No. 2 Bobcats defeat division rival Gulf Coast for 13th straight time

HATTIESBURG – Zylah Mulligan scored just 5:34 into the match and the Bobcats added three goals in the final five minutes to knock off division rival Gulf Coast, 5-0, for a 13th consecutive meeting.

No. 2 Jones improved to 7-1, 5-0 in the division, outscoring its opponents 24-0. Gulf Coast fell to 5-4, 3-2.

Jackie Dilorenzo played a great ball into the box to Mulligan in the 6th minute, and Mulligan megged the keeper for her sixth goal of the year.

Back-to-back saves by Danae Fowler in the 23rd minute kept it a one-goal lead for the Bobcats before Carson Turner's 41st minute goal gave Jones a 2-0 lead at the break.

Kendyl Terrell scored two goals in a span of 39 seconds to make it 4-0 and Mulligan capped a lopsided win with her seventh goal with 20 seconds to play.

Jones outshot MGCCC 20-10, including 15-7 on goal. Fowler picked up a career-high seven saves between the posts for JC.
