DECATUR – The No. 19 Jones Bobcats defeated No. 20 East Central 5-4 here Tuesday afternoon at the East Central Community College Tennis Complex.
The Jones women are now 11-0 on the season.The Bobcats will not play again until they host Wallace St.-Hanceville (Alabama) at 1 p.m. on March 23.
East Central (8-4) ravels to Mississippi Gulf Coast on Friday.

Jones won two of the doubles matches.
Bella Chela (South Africa) and
Judith Mills (South Pontotoc) downed Natalia Beltran and Alejandra Vargas in No. 1 doubles, 8-4, and
Brooke Chism (Pontotoc) and
Stori Endt (Vancleave) whipped Kayla Baucum and Maria Graham in No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
Danielle Viljoen (Jackson) and
Dixie Lei Hodges (Laurel Christian School) lost 7-9 in No. 2 doubles to Josie Hurst and Ali Grace Walker.
Viljoen beat Vargas in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-2. Hodges rallied past Hurst, 1-6, 7-6, 10-7 in No. 4 singles and Chism downed Baucum in No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-4. Chela fell to Beltran in No. 1 singles, 6-3, 4-6, 1-10, Mills lost to Walker in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 4-7, 6-10 and Endt lost to Graham in No. 6 singles, 4-6, 4-6.
