Box Score MERIDIAN – No. 20 Jones College whipped HInds 8-1 here Saturday afternoon at the Northeast Tennis Center.
The match was the completion of a match that was suspended by rain on Tuesday in Ellisville.
In No. 2 singles,
Gaspar Meda (Argentina) whipped Chris Adams, 6-0, 6-1 and
Daniel Panzica (Brookhaven) downed Berto Le Roux in No. 3 singles, 6-3, 7-5.
Jacob Johnson (North Pike) defeated Chambers Bethea in No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-1 and
Trey Hilton (Pearl) downed Bryce Ramshur in No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
James McWilliams (Northwest Rankin) defeated Tommy Sims in No. 6 singles, 6-2, 3-0, ret.
Kwanda Mbalekwa (South Africa) lost in a lengthy match to Abraham Gonzalez, 6-2, 4-6, 7-10.
In No. 1 doubles, Johnson and Mbalekwa beat Gonzalez and Adams, 8-5, and in No. 2 doubles, Panzica and McWilliams defeated Le Roux and Bethea, 8-5. In No. 3 doubles, Meda and Hilton blanked Sims and Ramshur, 8-0. In an extra match,
Braxton Wallis (Brookhaven) and Brenden McKee (Northwest Rankin) defeated Eli Sykes and Walker Magee, 8-1.
