ELLISVILLE – Jones held visiting Pearl River to a season-low 27 percent shooting and used a game-high 18 points from
Keyara Jones to roll to a 75-54 rivalry win Monday night.
Jones won the catfight on the hardwood for the 10th time in the last 11 meetings to improve to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in the south. PRCC fell to 7-4 and 1-2 in division play.
Leading 19-17 after a quarter of play, Jones started to create a little separation in the second quarter by holding PRCC to just seven points.
JC used unselfish basketball, with seven different players scoring in the quarter.

Bryana Langford and K. Jones all hit 3-pointers and
Kacey Bradford had seven big points off the bench.
The lead stretched to double digits, 53-40, after three quarters and the Bobcats pulled away late to stay perfect at home.
Behind K. Jones' 18 points, Allen added a dozen and
LaMiracle Sims posted her fifth double-double of the year with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Ebony Gayden (nine points, seven rebounds) and
Daja Woodard had strong efforts off the bench (six points, seven rebounds, five blocks).
Jones shot 42 percent from the floor and was 8-of-19 from downtown. They also dished out 22 assists on 28 made field goals.
