ELLISVILLE – Mississippi Gulf Coast scored a pair of first half goals and downed Jones College 2-0 here Friday night at Bobcat Soccer Field.

Jones had several opportunities, but the Bulldogs had a quick flurry in the first half and made it stand.

Griffin Bush scored at 25:39 and Cisco Thomas followed with another goal at 28:18 to account for the scoring.

Callum Harley (Whitney Bay, England) was in goal for the Bobcats.

Jones is now 2-2 overall, 0-1 in the MACJC South Division. MGCCC is 2-1 and 1-0.

Jones goes to Southwest for a 4 p.m. game on Tuesday. The Bobcats host Meridian at 7 p.m. on Sept. 6. and the game will stream on JCJC.TV.

MGCCC hosts Pearl River on Tuesday.
