No. 25 Bobcats whip Sun Chiefs, 8-1

ELLISVILLE – No. 25 Jones County whipped Coastal Alabama-South 8-1 here Monday afternoon at the Howard Sports Complex Tennis Courts.
Mitar Milosavljevic (Serbia) and Cody Courtney (Florence) whipped Jon Logan Beadlescomb and Thomas Shaw in No. 1 doubles, 8-1. Noel Monsalve (Venezeula) and James Estrada (St. Stanislaus) beat Addison Osborn and Jacob Stokes in No. 2 doubles, 8-3. Erich Fischer (Wesson) and Jed Slover (Northeast Jones) defeated Nathan Walton and Connor Murphy in No. 3 doubles, 8-2.
Monsalve downed Stokes in No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-3. In No. 3 singles, Estrada beat Osborn, 7-5, 6-4. Fischer whipped Shaw, 6-2, 6-0, in No. 4 singles. Daniel Tanious (Laurel Christian School) beat Walton in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-2. Slover downed Murphy in No. 6 singles, 7-5, 6-1. Beadlescomb defeated Courtney in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-2.
The Bobcats are 5-9, while the Sun Chiefs fall to 1-7.
The Bobcats will host East Central in a 2 p.m. match on Thursday, while the Sun Chiefs go to Wallace St. (Alabama) on Thursday.
