DECATUR – The Jones County Junior College men's tennis team whipped East Central 8-1 here Saturday at the East Central Tennis Complex.
JCJC swept all of the singles' matches.
Mitar Milosavljevic (Serbia) beat Tom Langelaar in No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-3.
Noel Monsalve (Venezuela) whipped Willie Wooten in No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Cody Courtney (Florence) beat Joseph Jabour in No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-4.
James Estrada (St. Stanislaus) defeated Emontie Lewis in No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-3.
Erich Fischer (Wesson) downed Landon Gibson in No. 5 singles, 6-2, 7-6 and
Daniel Tanious (Laurel Christian School) beat Isaac Keen in No. 6 singles, 7-6, 6-4.
In extra matches,
Jed Slover (Northeast Jones) defeated Jake Wofford, 9-7, and
Conner Henderson (Petal) beat Wilton Ladner, 8-4.
In No. 2 doubles, Estrada and Fischer beat Wooten and Gibson, 8-2, and Courtney and Slover won No. 3 doubles over Lewis and Wofford, 8-2. Langelaar and Jabour defeated Milosavljevic and Monsalve in No. 1 doubles, 8-4. In an extra match, Tanious and Henderson beat Ladner and Alex Sumrall, 8-6.
JCJC is now 2-3 and East Central falls to 0-5.
The Bobcats visit Mississippi Gulf Coast at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. JCJC travels to Itawamba for a 2 p.m. match on Thursday and will meet Blue Mountain College at 10 a.m. on Friday in New Albany.
ECCC hosts Copiah-Lincoln on Thursday.

Milosavljevic beat Andrew Hildenbrand in No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-2. Monsalve defeated Timo Schmitz in No. 2 doubles, 6-2, 7-6 (7-0). Fischer beat Tres Santucci in No. 5 singles, 9-7.
Breno Goncalves beat Courtney in No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-0. Giuliano Annetta beat Estrada in No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-4. Tyler Santucci downed Tanious in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-1.
Mason Vice defeated Henderson 8-0 in an extra match.
In No. 1 doubles, Emile Le Terrier and Hugo Stroppiana beat Milosavljevic and Monsalve, 8-1. Goncalves and Annetta defeated Fischer and Estrada in No. 2 doubles, 8-2. Tres and Tyler Santucci beat Courtney and Slover in No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
