WESSON – The No. 19 Copiah-Lincoln Wolves edged No. 25 Jones County, 5-4, here Friday.
The teams split the six singles points and Co-Lin won two of the doubles points.
Cody Courtney (Florence) whipped Sebastian Harrell in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-1.
Erich Fischer (Wesson) beat Braden Ishee in No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-4.
Daniel Tanious (Laurel Christian School) won No. 6 singles over Tripp Wyatt, 6-2, 6-1.
Sebastian Osorio downed
Mitar Milosavljevic (Serbia), 6-2, 6-2, in No. 1 singles. Juan Pablo Pinilla beat
Noel Monsalve (Venezuela) in No. 2 singles, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2. Tripp Case downed
James Estrada (St. Stanislaus) in No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-4.
Monsalve and Estrada whipped Case and Ishee in No. 2 doubles, 8-1.
Osorio and Pinilla defeated Milosavljevic and Courtney in No. 1 doubles, 8-2. Harrell and Wyatt beat Fischer and
Jed Slover (Northeast Jones) in No. 3 doubles, 8-3.
The Bobcats are now 4-9, while the Wolves are 5-3.
The Bobcats will host Coastal Alabama-South at 1 p.m. on Monday and Co-Lin visits Hinds on Wednesday.
