MERIDIAN – The No. 8 Cowley College (Kansas) men's tennis team defeated No. 25 Jones County, 9-0, here Wednesday at the Northeast Tennis Courts.

James Estrada (St. Stanislaus) in No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-0. In No. 5 singles, Killian Dagneaux defeated
Erich Fischer (Wesson), 6-1, 6-0. Casey Edwards downed
Daniel Tanious (Laurel Christian School) in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
In extra singles matches, Emil Zaar beat
Jed Slover (Northeast Jones), 8-0, and
Conner Henderson (Petal), lost 8-0.
In No. 1 doubles, Tost and Suiama beat Milosalvjevic and Courtney, 8-2. In No. 2 doubles, Oshiro and Gaston Walitzky beat Monsalve and Estrada, 8-4. In No. 3 doubles, Dagneaux and Edwards downed Fischer and Slover, 8-1.
In an extra doubles match, Tanious and Henderson lost, 8-0.
The Bobcats are now 3-6.
JCJC will host Itawamba at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
