MERIDIAN – The 16th-rated Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats clinched the MACJC South Division title outright here Thursday night at Graham Gymnasium.
The No. 16 Lady Bobcats posted an 85-64 victory over the Meridian Community College Lady Eagles. It was JCJC's 17th consecutive win.
JCJC ends regular season play at 22-1 overall and 13-1 in the division and will now turn its attention to the MACJC Tournament, which will be played Feb. 27-March 2 at home at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
The Lady Bobcats will play Monday at 5:30 p.m. vs. Holmes. An official tournament bracket will be released Friday afternoon. All games involving JCJC teams will air on

Nique Cherry (Heidelberg) had 24 points and 10 rebounds to spark the Lady Bobcats past MCC.
Alexis Tolefree (Conway, Arkansas) had 18 points, while
K.K. Tassin (Terry) had 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists.
Zan Ratcliffe (West Jones) had 10 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
Tatyana Lofton (Madison-Ridgeland Academy) had 5 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds.
Kira Bonner (Quitman) had 5 points and 7 rebounds, while
Juliet Esadah (Warri, Nigeria) had 4 points and 10 rebounds.
Madison Bishop (Collegiate Christian Academy) had 5 points and
Myyah West (Prentiss) had 1 point.
JCJC led 54-34 in the third quarter and 69-34 after three quarters.
Meridian ends the season at 9-14 and 3-11.
