Season ends for No. 20 Lady Bobcats

ELLISVILLE – The 2017 season ended for 20th-ranked Jones County Junior College here Friday evening at Bobcat Soccer Field.
The 4th-rated Eastern Florida State College Titans scored two goals in each half and blanked the Lady Bobcats, 4-0.
Eastern Florida, 11-2, will now advance to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament, which will be held Nov. 13-18 at its home field in Melbourne, Florida.
Head coach Dolores Deasley's Lady Bobcats end the season at 9-3-2.
After EFSC's Cristina Garriga scored at  8:26 off of a Danielle Gomze assist. JCJC had two quick shots on goal right after that, but could not convert.
The Titans took a 2-0 lead at 32:07 when Katie Lockwood  scored with Nathali Da Silva getting the assist.
Da Silva scored at 63:12 wth Gomez and Sophia Carroll getting the assist to make it 3-0 and the Titans closed the scoring at 75:13 when Ebony Wiseman put the ball into the net off a Jaime Farls assists.
EFSC had 13 shots on goal, compared to three for JCJC.
Mia Holmes (Brandon) played the first half in goal for JCJC, while Caroline Runion (Madison Central) played the second half.
Sarah Deinert was in goal for 88 minutes for EFSC and Megan Green ended the game.
