MONROEVILLE, Alabama – Ninth-ranked Jones County Junior College eased to an 89-52 victory over Coastal Alabama-Monroeville here Monday night.
Chrystal Ezechukwu (Stone Mountain, Georgia) and Nique Cherry (Heidelberg) each had a 'double-double' for JCJC. Ezechukwu had 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Cherry had 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Alexis Tolefree (Conway, Arkansas) had 14 points, while Maya Jones (Northwest Rankin) and Camryn London (Birmingham, Alabama) each had 11 points. Kira Bonner (Quitman) had 9 points, while ZaKyia Weathersby (Collins) had 4 points and 10 rebounds.
Breonca Ducksworth (West Jones) had 4 points, 8 assists and 6 steals. K.K. Tassin (Terry) and Jaresa Brooks (North Forrest) had 4 points each.
JCJC is now 2-0 on the season.
The Lady Bobcats will visit Itawamba for a 5 p.m. game on Thursday.
