ELLISVILLE – No. 25 Jones County Junior College rolled to another impressive victory here Monday night at A.B. Howard Gymnasium.
The Lady Bobcats never trailed and whipped Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, 94-54. It was the eighth straight win for JCJC.
Jones is now 13-1 overall and 4-1 in division play.
The issue was never in doubt as JCJC scored the game's first eight points.
The Lady Bobcats were up 20-10 after the first quarter, 48-19 at halftime and 69-36 after three quarters.
Nique Cherry (Heidelberg) topped JCJC with 19 points, including 14 in the first half.
Alexis Tolefree (Conway, Arkansas) had 18 points, including 16 in the first half. She had four 3-pointers.
K.K. Tassin (Terry) added 14 points – all in the second half.
Myyah West (Prentiss) had 10 points.
Keiara Williams had 12 and Eanna Sims added 10 for MGCCC. The Lady Bulldogs are 6-8 overall, 0-5 in the division.
JCJC will travel to East Central for a 7:30 p.m. game on Thursday.
Mississippi Gulf Coast will host Pearl River on Thursday.
